125th Anniversary of Nassau County

125th Anniversary of Nassau County

Nassau County, in collaboration with the Long Island Association, invites you to join us in celebration of the 125th Anniversary of the County. Established in 1899, the county was separated from Queens County during an era of significant suburban development, to better serve the needs of its growing population. Formed under then Governor Theodore Roosevelt, it was named in honor of the Dutch Prince of Orange-Nassau. The mission of the Long Island Association is to lead and unify the region in order to enhance, strengthen and protect Long Island as a premier place to live, work and play, and we are looking forward to reflecting on 125 years of Nassau County.

Come celebrate this historic milestone with us, featuring a special performance by Nassau County native Taylor Dayne, an award-winning singer who has captivated audiences worldwide and sold over 75 million records.
